I have spent the past four plus years building the very best Aerial Services/Drone team and capability in Virginia. The demand for our services exceeded our expectations, often our capacity. We won every contract, client and project we set our eyes on. To say it’s been an honor and a privilege to build the team, expertise, and capability is an understatement.
During the final quarter of 2020 I began feeling that it was time for a change. There are many reasons including work life balance as well as leadership that lead me to the decision to leave Draper Aden Associates. By the end of 2020 I was certain that I would be making a change. I began working on refreshing my software development skills, including getting my scrum master certification in January 2021 so I could transition out of the Civil Engineering industry in favor of returning to my software development roots. I explored a number of really good opportunities. After a lot of thought, I took a position with another Civil Engineering firm as the Director of Innovation & Remote Sensing for Timmons Group.

Timmons Group is a national Civil Engineering firm with some very interesting projects. In my new role I will get to stay involved with drones by standing up a Remote Sensing capability to support projects, however, I am most excited that I will be able to look across all of the business and solve technology problems.
